General overview of the role

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually compelling designs for both digital and print media, including websites, advertisements, brochures, and social media content. Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Create visual concepts, layouts, and designs for digital and print media, including websites, brochures, advertisements, social media graphics, and more.
2. Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual materials.
3. Work closely with marketing, content, and development teams to ensure designs align with company goals and project requirements.
4. Communicate with clients to understand their needs, present design concepts, and make revisions based on feedback.
5. Brainstorm and conceptualize creative ideas, ensuring designs are innovative and engaging.
6. Organize and manage design assets, including images, fonts, and templates, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.
7. Stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies to incorporate the latest techniques into your work.
8. Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
9. Prepare designs for print, ensuring accurate color, resolution, and format.
10. Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed, ensuring designs are visually appealing and free of errors.

Required skills and experience

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design tools.
• Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
• Understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.
• Ability to generate unique and innovative design concepts.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Capable of overcoming design challenges and providing creative solutions.
• Understanding of the different requirements for print and digital media, including file formats, color spaces, and resolutions.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Experience with web design tools like Figma or Sketch, and knowledge of HTML/CSS for basic front-end development.
• Familiarity with animation software like Adobe After Effects for creating motion graphics.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles.
• Basic photography skills and proficiency in video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software such as Blender or Cinema 4D.
• Familiarity with marketing strategies and the ability to design assets that drive engagement and conversion.
• Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and how to design for web accessibility and search engines.
• Experience in creating or evolving brand identities.
• Proficiency in tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday for managing design projects.
• Ability to design for multiple languages, particularly in global or multicultural contexts.
