Typical duties and responsibilities

3. Conduct or participate in user research and testing to understand user behavior and needs, using insights to inform copy decisions.
4. Ensure all content is consistent with the brand’s voice, tone, and style guidelines.
5. Continuously refine and revise content based on user feedback and testing results.
6. Stay informed about trends in UX writing and design to bring innovative ideas to the team.
7. Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews, contributing creative and strategic ideas to enhance user interaction and engagement.
8. Document content workflows, decisions, and revisions to ensure traceability and effective collaboration across teams.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for crafting user-centered content.
• At least 2–4 years of professional experience in UX writing or a related role, with a portfolio showcasing intuitive and engaging digital content.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, concise copy that simplifies complex concepts and enhances user experiences.
• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and usability best practices, ensuring content supports seamless navigation and task completion.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to create cohesive user experiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on maintaining consistency and accuracy across all written content and user interfaces.
• Proficiency in adhering to brand voice, tone, and style guidelines, ensuring a unified and professional digital presence.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• More than 4 years of hands-on experience in UX writing, content strategy, or related fields, with a proven ability to lead content initiatives.
• Familiarity with advanced UX design methodologies and processes, including wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web technologies, enabling collaboration with developers and an understanding of technical limitations.
• Extensive experience conducting user research, usability testing, or A/B testing, leveraging insights to refine and improve content strategies.
• Background in industries such as technology, e-commerce, or SaaS, with a focus on creating content for complex systems or platforms.
