Typical duties and responsibilities

• Calculate and remit payroll taxes and manage payroll tax filings.
• Collaborate with HR for new hires, terminations, and changes to employment status.
• Process year-end tasks such as W-2 forms and other tax-related documentation.

Required skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.
• Familiarity with payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive payroll information.
• Experience in handling multi-state or international payroll (if applicable).

• Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
