As a Manager, you’ll be expected to contribute broad knowledge and skills across the IT field to offer first and second-level support, including deploying system repairs, performing installations, and performing routine maintenance. You will have to work within established guidelines to perform your tasks on time and within designated quality parameters. Lead IT projects that are part of larger business initiatives, ensuring timelines, goals, and budget constraints are met.
Administer and oversee business-critical IT tasks, ensuring systems run smoothly and meet the company’s operational needs.
Research and implement emerging technologies to improve current systems and recommend upgrades or new installations where necessary.
Monitor hardware and software inventory, ensuring all IT assets are well-maintained and up-to-date.
Analyze business and departmental IT needs, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Ensure that network components, systems, and processes are integrated seamlessly to meet business requirements, while also tracking competitor innovations.
Perform cost-benefit analyses when upgrading technology or choosing new vendors, ensuring optimal service and value.
Provide training for employees on new software and hardware, and offer ongoing technical support to resolve issues quickly.
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and ensure data backup procedures are in place and regularly tested.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in IT management, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage IT operations.
In-depth knowledge of programming languages, operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory), and modern IT infrastructure.
Strong expertise in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems and solutions.
Experience with helpdesk operations.
Hands-on experience with enterprise backup, recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and resolving complex IT issues.
Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and interact with other departments.
Preferred skills and experience (not required)
Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
More than two years of experience in IT management, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage IT operations.
Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or CompTIA certifications.
Experience in project management, particularly in IT-related projects, with the ability to balance technical and business priorities.
Understanding of the best cybersecurity practices and experience with security tools and protocols.
