A ServiceNow Developer is a professional responsible for developing (JavaScript, GildeScript) and implementing applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Developing, maintaining, and customizing ServiceNow applications, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
2. Ensuring seamless integration of ServiceNow applications with external systems and aligning them with business objectives.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, improve processes, and provide technical support.
4. Analyzing system performance issues and providing corrective actions while identifying root causes.

6. Implementing security policies using ACLs (Access Control Lists), roles, groups, and authentication mechanism.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development or similar engineering roles.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow platform development, including scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript) and ServiceNow APIs.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow development tools such as Flow Designer, Studio IDE, and Update Sets.
• Understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and best practices.
• Experience with Service Portal design and development.
• Experience in developing custom applications and integrations with third-party applications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Experience with ServiceNow’s IntegrationHub and other integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON).
• Having 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development or similar engineering roles would be an asset.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in specific modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM).
• Experience with version upgrades and ServiceNow patch management.
