Typical duties and responsibilities

1. Collect, document, and assess business requirements to ensure IT systems effectively align with organizational goals.
2. Evaluate current IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement, proposing and implementing practical solutions.
3. Develop comprehensive documentation detailing system specifications, workflows, and processes to support development and implementation.
4. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, collaborating closely with IT teams and end-users to maintain optimal system functionality and security.
5. Partner with various departments and stakeholders to understand their technological needs, providing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Support the management and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports on system performance, project progress, and technical issues to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as an IT Analyst with a solid background in systems analysis, requirements gathering, and creating technical documentation.
• Proven proficiency in analyzing and optimizing IT systems and processes to improve performance and functionality.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
• Strong understanding of database management and fundamental programming concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Nice to have/preferred skills and experience (not required)

• Experience in IT project management and support, with familiarity in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of advanced analytical tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or ITIL Foundation.
