We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Python or Rust) to join an established US-based trading technology company. Its products – automated trading bots and market-signal tools – reach paying users through Discord, and it is now building an internal algorithmic trading system for stocks, options, and futures.

Requirements

checked icon 5+ senior-level professional software development experience
checked icon Hands-on experience working with trading or market data (stocks, options, futures, crypto, or prediction markets)
checked icon Strong experience with real-time data processing
checked icon Experience building production systems in Python or Rust
checked icon Track record of building reliable, unattended systems with robust error handling, monitoring, and failure recovery
checked icon Ability to make architectural and technology decisions independently
checked icon Demonstrated ownership and self-direction in a small, fully remote team
checked icon Readiness to take responsibility for urgent production issues when they arise
checked icon Excellent English communication skills

checked icon Experience building Discord bots
checked icon Experience with NautilusTrader or a similar algorithmic trading engine
checked icon Experience with the Interactive Brokers API or other broker integrations
checked icon Experience with payment, subscription, or commission tooling (refunds, chargebacks, access control)

Responsibilities

checked icon Design and build the internal algorithmic trading system that executes strategies on stocks, options, and futures via Interactive Brokers
checked icon Ensure the trading system runs reliably unattended, with strong error handling, monitoring, and recovery
checked icon Extend the system into prediction markets and digital asset trading on 24-hour markets
checked icon Convert raw trading and market data into clear, visual signals that customers can act on
checked icon Develop internal automations for business operations, such as adjusting sales commissions after refunds and chargebacks
checked icon Build Discord community management bots and automations that revoke access for non-paying customers on time
checked icon Work directly with the company's owner to decide architecture, technology choices, and priorities
checked icon Take end-to-end ownership of the systems you build, from architecture and deployment to incident response
checked icon Collaborate with a small non-engineering team to automate sales and community workflows
