Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript) to join a US-based logistics software company building a workforce management platform for delivery businesses. The product serves companies that run on large networks of independent contractor drivers, bringing onboarding, compliance and ongoing workforce administration into one place. Its customers are delivery operations across the United States. You will take frontend features from a first conversation with product all the way to production, splitting your time between planned product work and quick prototypes that test ideas before the team commits to them. You will talk directly with product and business stakeholders, look after a React codebase that has been growing for several years, and push the interface forward on quality, speed and accessibility, working alongside one other senior frontend engineer. The engineer who does well here is self-directed, comfortable with loose specs, and writes clearly, because writing is how a distributed team talks.
Salary: $5,800 - $7,500 per month

5+ years of experience building production web applications
Deep knowledge of React, including rendering behaviour, state management trade-offs, and the reasons frontend applications become slow or fragile
Strong TypeScript skills
Solid CSS and layout skills, able to turn a design or a rough sketch into an interface that looks right on every screen
Experience consuming and shaping REST APIs
Daily use of AI coding tools as a core part of your development workflow
The ability to build a working prototype substantially faster with AI than without, and to explain concretely how: what you delegate, what you write yourself, how you keep the output reviewable
Working knowledge of AI failure modes - plausible-but-wrong code, silent scope drift, unneeded abstractions - with habits that catch them
Meaningful experience in a small team or startup where you were the person responsible
The ability to hold a direct conversation with a non-technical stakeholder and come away with a clearer problem than you went in with
Availability for at least 3 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time
Professional spoken and written English, with the clear writing a distributed team runs on Nice to have
Design sensibility - you improve a mediocre design instead of implementing it faithfully
Enough backend familiarity, with Node.js or another stack, to read server code and unblock yourself
Testing habits proportional to risk - you know what is worth testing and what is not Responsibilities
Own frontend features end to end, from an early conversation with product to a shipped feature in production, including the parts nobody assigned to you
Build quick, credible prototypes that help the team decide on a direction before committing to it
Work directly with product and business stakeholders, asking the questions that change the spec
Push back on specifications and API designs when they make the frontend worse
Keep a several-year-old React codebase healthy, so it stays pleasant to work in
Improve the quality, performance and accessibility of the interface
Turn designs and rough sketches into interfaces that look right on every screen
Prototype and ship faster with AI coding tools, keeping the output reviewable
