Analyze and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability, wellness programs, and other employee benefits offerings.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to design and implement benefits plans that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of employees.
Conduct regular audits of benefits programs to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Research and evaluate market trends to make recommendations for improvements or updates to employee benefits packages.
Work with external vendors and benefits providers to manage contracts, negotiate terms, and resolve issues related to benefits offerings.
Process benefits enrollments, claims, and changes, ensuring accurate data entry and effective employee communication.
Prepare and maintain benefits documentation, including plan summaries, enrollment forms, and policy guidelines.
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits options, answering questions and resolving coverage, eligibility, and claims issues.
Assist with the open enrollment process, ensuring employees understand their options and can make informed decisions.
Assist with administering leave policies, including FMLA, sick leave, and other programs.
Monitor benefits laws and regulations changes, recommending necessary adjustments to keep programs compliant.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
2–5 years of proven experience in benefits administration or analysis, ideally in a large or complex organization.
In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leave policies.
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other employee benefits regulations.
Hands-on experience with benefits management software, HRIS systems, and administration platforms.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex benefits information clearly and effectively to employees.
High attention to detail and accuracy in processing benefits data and maintaining documentation.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while delivering a high standard of service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration tools.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
