We are looking for a CTO to join an early-stage sports technology company building software for professional football recruitment. The platform brings together player profiles, match video, performance information, scouting data, and recruitment workflows to help football clubs evaluate talent and manage the recruitment process. The product is focused on connecting South American players with opportunities at European clubs. You will own the technical direction of the platform, build the initial product across backend, frontend, data, and cloud infrastructure, and establish the engineering function as the company grows. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can make architectural decisions, write production code, and balance product priorities with practical delivery

Requirements

Responsibilities

checked icon Build and evolve the platform for player discovery, evaluation and recruitment
checked icon Develop player profiles, video search, comparisons and recruitment workflows
checked icon Design and maintain backend services, frontend applications, databases and cloud infrastructure
checked icon Integrate third-party video, camera and performance data sources
checked icon Automate the association of match footage and performance data with relevant players and matches
checked icon Develop APIs and integrations with external football recruitment and analytics systems
checked icon Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate product development while maintaining production quality
checked icon Design scalable and secure technical architecture for the platform
checked icon Establish engineering standards for testing, code review, deployment and system reliability
checked icon Recruit and lead the engineering team as the product develops
checked icon Work closely with the founders to translate product requirements into technical solutions
