Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes) to join an international security technology company building an AI-driven monitoring platform for residential security. Cameras and sensors installed on site run AI models at the edge and stream events to the cloud, where threats are identified. Alerts then go to a round-the-clock monitoring team and to the client within seconds. Behind this sits a real-time event pipeline where latency and uptime directly affect the people being protected. You will own the infrastructure from top to bottom. That covers the Kubernetes clusters that host the Python backend services, the databases and message brokers behind them, the pipeline that carries a detection from a device to an operator’s screen, and the monitoring that flags problems as they happen. The ideal candidate enjoys running production systems end to end, takes ownership of reliability, and builds infrastructure other engineers can trust.

5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, including production ownership with on-call duty
Deep experience running production Kubernetes on Amazon EKS, from cluster upgrades and autoscaling to troubleshooting networking, pods, nodes, and DNS
Production-scale experience with Terraform or OpenTofu, including resource imports and state management
Experience with Helm
Experience with a GitOps tool, ideally Argo CD
Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including OIDC authentication to AWS
Hands-on experience writing Prometheus alerting rules
Hands-on experience building Grafana dashboards
Strong AWS fundamentals: IAM, VPC, security groups, RDS or Aurora, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch
Scripting in Python

Run and upgrade Amazon EKS clusters across development, staging, and production, using blue/green upgrades
Manage autoscaling with Karpenter and AWS Fargate, keeping workloads right-sized
Manage all infrastructure as code in Terraform and OpenTofu, bringing manually created resources under code and extending reusable modules
Maintain Helm charts and per-environment Argo CD configuration
Build GitHub Actions pipelines with image builds traceable from commit to production
Configure Istio policies for traffic, security, and resilience, including authorization, retries, outlier detection, rate limiting, and JWT
Manage CloudFront and Route 53 at the edge
Build observability across Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, and Sentry, including business-level SLIs such as device-to-alert latency
Design alert routing that pages on real incidents, and take part in on-call
Operate Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, Amazon MQ, S3, and OpenSearch, covering availability, upgrades, and least-privilege access per service
Manage secrets, IAM, and key rotation with External Secrets Operator and AWS Secrets Manager, and support the infrastructure side of SOC 2 compliance
Take ownership of cloud cost with the FinOps function, from log retention policies to the Graviton (arm64) migration, and evolve the guardrails that let AI agents propose and apply infrastructure changes safely Please include GDPR consent
