Requirements

checked icon Strong, practical command of software QA with 3+ years of experience across both manual and automated testing in production web environments
checked icon Comfort working in a high-release-velocity environment with daily feature drops that need rapid, thorough manual validation before they reach users
checked icon Proven experience designing and implementing a full testing strategy from scratch, including test planning, risk analysis, coverage mapping, and tooling selection
checked icon Deep hands-on expertise with Playwright for end-to-end automation, including page object models, fixtures, parallel execution, and CI integration
checked icon Previous work in B2B SaaS
checked icon Experience working in house at a product company, holding quality ownership for a single product as it evolved over time
checked icon Strategies for reducing test flakiness, Page Object Model design, fixture management, and handling test data
checked icon Solid experience testing REST APIs directly
checked icon Ability to assess an existing QA setup, spot weak points, and construct a prioritized improvement plan
checked icon Experience testing in cloud-native or containerized environments; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes basics, or microservices architecture

checked icon Experience embedding automated tests into CI/CD workflows (Bitbucket Pipelines or GitHub Actions)
checked icon Exposure to visual regression testing (Percy, Playwright screenshots)

Responsibilities

checked icon Own QA end to end for the product, with no manager or predefined process to follow
checked icon Build, maintain, and scale Playwright based automated test suites
checked icon Apply sound POM architecture and fixture design to keep test suites reliable
checked icon Test REST APIs directly, including response shape and schema validation
checked icon Evaluate the current QA setup and identify gaps
checked icon Perform exploratory testing to surface issues automation does not catch
checked icon Work directly alongside a small engineering team to define and evolve the QA approach
checked icon Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines as needed
checked icon Use AI assisted tools as part of the daily testing workflow
