Contract of Employment or B2B We’re looking for a skilled Software Engineer Site Lead to help drive transformation in a fast-evolving industry. In this role, you’ll take charge of developing and optimizing backend services, ensuring the platform is both efficient and scalable. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful solutions that shape the future of the business.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js
A solid understanding of service-oriented or modular systems
Experience in API design and development, with a focus on best practices and scalability
Strong expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL, with an ability to design efficient databases
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
Exposure to frontend technologies such as AngularJS and React
Hands-on experience with ORM Frameworks (e.g. Sequelize)
A solid background in refactoring and optimizing codebases
A hands-on experience with version control best practices
Experience working in Agile environments with tools like JIRA
Demonstrated ability to approach complex challenges with strong problem-solving skills
Exceptional communication abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in team environments
Proven adaptability in dynamic settings focusing on delivering high-quality solutions Nice to have
Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role, such as technical lead, senior developer, or lead engineer
A demonstrated ability to guide and support a development team Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and ORM tools such as Sequelize
Contribute to the frontend development process by transitioning from legacy frameworks (e.g., AngularJS) to modern solutions (e.g., React)
Drive codebase modernization by refactoring existing logic and improving the overall quality of the code
Work collaboratively with the team to optimize database performance, leveraging SQL Server and PostgreSQL
Implement and maintain automated tests to ensure the stability and reliability of the system
Drive performance optimization efforts and conduct benchmarking to ensure high system efficiency
