Python Data Engineer & Dev (REMOTE)

Up to 120.000 USD per year

100% Remote (Candidates must be based in Europe)

On-call from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM EET / 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM EEST.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join a dynamic and innovative team working on building and maintaining a distributed system for live trading. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on cutting-edge financial technology projects while working remotely within a flexible environment.
Requirements

Strong Computer Science background, including knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed computing, and operating systems

Extensive Python experience, including traditional Python tools for data processing

Expertise in Data Engineering & Data Science (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn)

Experience with distributed computing and familiarity with cluster software like Kubernetes

Ability and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
Nice to have

Background as a Quantitative Developer

Experience with JavaScript (Vue.js or React.js)

Interest in trading algorithms and financial markets

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.)

Experience with lower-level programming languages like C/C++
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python applications for live trading systems

Work on large-scale data processing and algorithmic trading models

Build and optimize distributed systems to support real-time trading operations

Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define and implement new features

Ensure code quality through testing, reviewing, and best practices
