We’re looking for a Full Stack Tech Lead to join a mission-driven new organization dedicated to empowering formerly incarcerated individuals by providing them with the resources needed for successful reintegration. In this role, you will drive the development of web and mobile applications, make architectural decisions, build scalable solutions, and collaborate closely with the founding team to bring the vision to life. Requirements

checked icon 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with strong React.js and Python.
checked icon Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and AWS/GCP.
checked icon Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects in a startup environment.
checked icon Someone who enjoys building from scratch, scaling systems, and making key architectural decisions.
checked icon Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for mission-driven work.
checked icon Prior startup experience or having led projects from early-stage to production is a huge plus.
checked icon Located in Canada or South America, with availability close to the PST (California) time zone.

Responsibilities

checked icon Lead full-stack development efforts and drive the upcoming major refactor.
checked icon Build and maintain scalable web and mobile applications using React.js, Next.js, React Native, and Python.
checked icon Architect and implement full-stack solutions using React.js (frontend), Python (backend), and React Native (mobile).
checked icon Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL on AWS/GCP.
checked icon Work closely with the team to define the product roadmap and technical strategy.
checked icon Ensure best practices in software engineering and smooth project execution.
checked icon Help bring structure to the project and provide technical leadership in an evolving environment.
