5+ years as a Testing Manager
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or relevant work experience
Deep understanding of IT testing principles / best practices
Expert knowledge of the Atlassian toolset – Jira, Confluence
Proven track record in working on global cross-functional enterprise-level Retail Technology projects
Experience working with 3rd Party Onshore & Offshore development partners
Knowledge of SDLC, application integration principles, standards, and methods
Knowledge of Agile methodology, principles, standards, and methods
Expert knowledge of the MS Office Suite – Project, Visio, Word, Excel
Ability to direct and manage teams – identifying project tasks, setting priorities, assigning and monitoring work
Ability to interact with and manage both local and virtual project teams Nice to have
Industry Certification – ITIL, CSM, PMP, etc. Responsibilities
Develop and define the European testing roadmap, strategy, and approach
Coordinate with the regional product managers, and internal development / 3rd Party technical teams, across all types of testing initiatives and phases
Execute and report upon testing status for each testing phase, representing internal development and 3rd party development and testing progress
Facilitate testing execution, drive phase gate definitions, and ensure phase gates are met (Entry-Exit) between test activities
Prepare overall weekly Europe Test Summary Status Report for all types of testing initiatives and phases (Product, Integration, End to End, Performance, Penetration / Security, User Acceptance)
Gather the European team’s approvals and provide input for the “Go / No Go” decision for testing and deployment
Confirm release management and version control maintenance occurs for each testing environment. ie: Knowledge of release contents including defect fixes, coordinate delivery to the proper environment, manage deployments during correct deployment windows, supervise environment maintenance
Own and distribute communications related to environments/releases (outages, maintenance, deployment, releases) where appropriate
Confirm that all testing environments are ready and stable and that there are no testing equipment/environment blockers
Communicate testing information to all stakeholders (program leadership, 3rd Party partners, test leads, development teams, and testers) so they can plan their re-tests (provide deployment notice/release notes/hotfixes - includes bug fixes, CRs, etc.)
Ensure testing updates are actively managed in Jira (environment deployment status, testing progress, etc)
Ensure program testing artifacts, such as the Testing Environment Diagram & Data Diagrams are developed and maintained Please include GDPR consent
