Backend Engineer (Email Deliverability, REMOTE)
We’re hiring an Email Deliverability Engineer who enjoys building fast, reliable systems and pays close attention to how email infrastructure and deliverability work.

Our client is a Portugal-based company whose platform is built to simplify the process of launching effective cold calls and email campaigns, making outreach more efficient and results-driven.
Requirements

Deep understanding of SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email reputation mechanics

3+ years of experience in email deliverability, infrastructure, or related technical roles

Experience with ESPs (e.g., SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark) and email infrastructure tools

Hands-on experience monitoring large-scale outbound campaigns

Familiarity with deliverability testing tools (InboxAlly, GlockApps, Mail-Tester, etc.)
Nice to have

Experience in outbound SaaS environments or working with B2B sales data platforms

Familiarity with high-volume cold email systems (e.g., Mailshake, Instantly, Smartlead)

Experience with setting up inbox rotation and multi-domain strategies

Ability to write scripts or work with APIs to automate warm-ups and deliverability checks
Responsibilities

Set up and manage email systems: SMTP servers, ESPs, IPs, domains, and DNS.

Improve inbox rates by configuring DKIM, SPF, DMARC, and BIMI.

Monitor sender reputation and fix issues using tools like Postmaster Tools, SNDS, and Mailgun.

Lead IP and domain warm-up plans. Automate workflows for smooth scaling.

Build internal tools to track deliverability and send alerts.

Help the customer success team solve client deliverability issues fast.
